The Bourne Legacy and The Campaign Open

Here's a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday, August 10th:

* The Bourne Legacy -- Jeremy Renner plays Aaron Cross, who essentially replaces the Jason Bourne character made famous by Matt Damon in the previous films in the series. Cross is much like Bourne -- he's a trained assassin on the run. Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Scott Glenn and David Strathairn are back in their Bourne roles, along with newcomers Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton.  Rated PG-13.

 

* The Campaign -- Will Ferrell stars as a long-term congressman from North Carolina who finds himself running against the director of a local tourism office, played by Zack GalifianakisJason Sudeikis, John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd co-star in the comedy. Rated R.

 

And opening in limited release:

* Red Hook Summer -- This Spike Lee-directed feature centers on a middle-class young boy from Atlanta who spends the summer with his deeply-religious grandfather in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  Jules Brown and Clarke Peters star. Rated R.
