The Black Eyed Peas Set Out on World Tour
The Black Eyed Peas kicked off their 100-date The E.N.D. world tour in Atlanta on Feb 8, embarking on their first US and Canadian tour in almost four years. Already hitting major cities in the South and with US dates slated through April 11, the tour will hit Europe and the UK in May 2010. It also will be the first time that will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie will be headlining the stage together since their Monkey Business tour. Ludacris signed on in late January to join LMFAO as an opening act.
With an astronomical 2009, The E.N.D. landed the group its first No. 1 album on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Boom Boom Pow" and knocked out their own single from No. 1 with the release of "I Gotta Feeling" in June 2009. The album also snagged The Black Eyed Peas three Grammy Awards, including best pop vocal album, and six nominations and has sold over 5.2 million copies.
